Sam and Sue is slated for a September 2020 release.
Sam loves nothing more than messing around with his camera, capturing the beautiful forest and his off hours activities. One night he meets a mysterious figure in the woods, Sue, who sends him down a rabbit hole of back alley internet blogs, abandoned houses and death.
Sam and Sue is a romantic story between two individuals who find love in each other and the activities that bind them.
Filmed locally in and around the town of Knowlton Quebec, Sam and Sue is a found footage film made by one person on a $74 budget. Filming took place over summer 2019 and the summer of 2020. The corona virus pandemic presented its own challenges and impacting the films final budget. After nearly 2 years the movie is done! and will soon be out there.
About the Director: Grumpy and without hope, Jess B lives deep in the bush. He is the handsome and undeniable genious behind the Wood Core scene taking the swamp by storm. Wood Core is a sub-genre of independent filmmaking with an emphasis on rural settings. Typically very low budget, under $100, and made by one person or with a small underpaid crew. Taking inspiration form The Blair Witch project (1999), The Alchemist Cookbook (2016) and their depictions of setting as a character to the unparalleled Euro Jank from Terra Studios and the spirit of making stuff with what you've got.
